In case you haven’t noticed, I haven’t posted in a bit, this is because my college work has reached an all time high, therefore any energy or time that is not spent working, is spent with my boyfriend or friends. This is not to say that I haven’t been thinking about blogging. I update my twitter often enough, but even though many view twitter as the way of the future I don’t think you can beat a good ole meaty blog post. I have a thing for blocks of text!
I recently handed up a draft of a chapter of my dissertation, I study art history as my major and because of that the dissertation needs to be both an art historical discussion as well as a well thought out argument. My mentor told me that my writing needs to be less journalistic and more art historian, I really think I have that journalistic mind, well a blogging mind at least.
I am writing this blog post off my iPod Touch, I had the inspiration and I knew that if I didn’t get some words down my blog would be postless for another week or more. When I go about my day, I often think of things that would make great posts or topics. However, especially recently I haven’t had time to act upon them – it’s frustrating but I have been jotting down my notes and hopefully they will make it up at some point soon. You will have to bear with me, a good result is my priority. Looking forward to an awesome summer regardless!
