I was one of the many people who attended the Irish Blog Awards 2008 last Saturday Night. I also gave a little hand where I could in organising the event. I had an awesome time. It was great to meet people I only knew through twitter and reading their blogs, particularly Miss Alexia, Miss Klara and of course the gorgeous girls over at Beaut.ie.
I realised throughout the night that I’m only skimming the surface when it comes to great Irish blogs so my Google Reader has had some new subscriptions added to it now that I’m back home. I’m really looking forward to next year. Unfortunately I didn’t win Best Newcomer, but you know, I don’t blog for awards, and I don’t think anyone else does. I blog because I love it so that’s just what I’ll keep on doing, and if I pick a few awards because I do what I enjoy, then that’s all good too.
But of course I need to thank Mr Mulley for letting me be involved and for all his great work in making the awards happen. Looking forward to next year!
